Being apart of the Barber Program
Being apart of the Barber Program
The Barbering program trains students in hands-on barbering skills and examines business and industry trends. This is a 1000 clock hour course to prepare students for the Texas Class A Barber Exam.
Students will prepare for all areas of the barbering profession, including the Texas Law and Rules of Barbering, haircutting, hairstyling, the professional shave, chemical texturing, coloring, and manicures.
Industry-trained Instructors will guide students in the classroom and lab.
It all started in 1997, I was 15 years old living in Lufkin, Tx. when I decided to cut my own hair. With me not even knowing I found something that caught my attention. For a young teenage kid, I didn't have a clue it would have taken me as far as has today. Me having no clue about the business side of Barbering just looking at it being satisfying, enjoyable, and rewarding. It wasn't until after college when I became a very serious businessman. But as I grew in education skills, I also grew in business skills. Promoting myself, Marketing myself, and most important Investing in myself. I've owned 3 different Barbershops in 2 different cities. The last Barbershop having 12 stations and 12 operators inspired me into being a Barber Instructor. On April 24, 2018 Legends Barber College was found by Chester Pleasant Jr. The campus is located at 1815 West Frank Ave in Lufkin, Tx 75904 in Gaslight Plaza. Legends Barber College is a place that anyone can come to the way I intended it to be.
